Mobile Civil Status Units Enhance Accessibility Across Saudi Arabia
As part of the “We Come to You” initiative spearheaded by the Ministry of Interior’s Civil Status Agency, alongside the “Present” initiative aimed at serving remote provinces, centers, and villages, mobile civil status units are currently providing essential services to both men and women in 35 locations throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
On a recent schedule, the mobile units commenced their operations in the Eastern Province, offering services to men at Al-Abbas Ibn Abdul Muttalib Elementary School in Al-Khobar, while women were served at the 29th Girls’ Intermediate School in Hafr Al-Batin, as well as the Driving School in Dammam. The following day, services were slated for the 10th Girls’ Elementary School in Al-Khobar, the Ithra Elementary School in Dammam, and the 18th Girls’ Secondary School in Dammam, among others. Additionally, a separate service day was designated for men at the Joint Khafji Operations Hospital and for women at the 25th Girls’ Intermediate School in Dammam, as well as the 23rd Girls’ Secondary School in Dammam. Each location is served for one day.
In the Asir region, the mobile units provided services to both genders today at the Air Base in Khamis Mushait. For men, services were also available at King Khalid Intermediate School in Dhahran Al-Janoub, extending over three days. Meanwhile, service was offered at the Hospital in Al-Majardah for one day, alongside the second intermediate school for girls in Al-Nuzha, which received services for two days. Moving into the next week, the units planned to service men at Abha First Secondary School on Monday and at Yamamah Secondary School in Barq on Tuesday, each for one day. On Wednesday, services were again offered at Thoban Secondary School in Abha, with women being served at the Hospital in Al-Majardah on Thursday.
In the Makkah region, services for men commenced today at Al-Aand and Al-Kamil centers, extending over two days at each location. Women received assistance at the “36” Secondary School as well as the “42” Intermediate School in Taif, with more services on Tuesday at the “29” Girls’ Secondary School, again for one day each. Furthermore, services were scheduled for Wednesday at the Saudi Arabian Airlines premises in Jeddah and additional services for men on Thursday, each for one day.
Moving northward, the Al-Jawf region’s mobile units served both men and women at Tal’at Amr Center on Monday. Men also received service at Imam Al-Bukhari Elementary School and Talha Ibn Ubaydullah Intermediate School in Tabarjal, while women were served at the fourth elementary and fifth intermediate schools for two days each.
In the Al-Baha area, the units operated for three consecutive days at the Ghammad Al-Zend Center for both genders. They provided men services at Prince Mohammed bin Saud School in Al-Jawh, while women received support at the Bani Ata Center in Qalwah for two days.
In the capital, Riyadh, the mobile units currently offer services to men and women today at the Olayan Financial Company, and men at Maimoon Ibn Mehran Intermediate School. On Tuesday, services will be available at the Memorization of the Qur’an Intermediate School for one day at each location.
Additionally, women in Al-Wajh, Tabaq, will receive two weeks of service from the mobile units, while those in the Al-Aqir Center in Qassim will be served for three days.
The mobile civil status units deliver vital civil registry services, such as issuing national identity cards, renewing existing ones, and providing replacements for lost or damaged cards. This mobile service initiative is among the most prominent methods of delivering field services in civil status, effectively facilitating the experience for both male and female beneficiaries. By doing so, it significantly reduces both time and effort required from users, embodying the commitment of the Ministry to enhance accessibility and improve public service delivery across the Kingdom.
