The system will facilitate the establishment of sovereign data centers that support service continuity and data sovereignty beyond borders, as well as enable investments in technology services, data, artificial intelligence, and market growth, while enhancing sustainable digital infrastructure.

The system comprises three advanced models for data centers: the “Private Center,” targeting various countries to host their data and services in the Kingdom, the “Extended Center,” and the “Virtual Center,” targeting major technology companies for hosting their clients globally in the Kingdom based on varying degrees of sovereignty and privileges that suit their clients. The system is in line with relevant international frameworks and principles of treaties.

By seeking feedback on the Global Artificial Intelligence Center project, the Telecommunications, Space, and Technology Authority aims to create a framework that not only attracts investments in technology but also strengthens the Kingdom’s position as a global leader in the digital economy. The initiative supports innovation, research, and development in advanced technologies, promoting data sovereignty and service continuity through sovereign data centers. Additionally, the system aims to foster growth in technology services, data, and artificial intelligence markets while enhancing sustainable digital infrastructure.

The three models proposed for data centers, namely the “Private Center,” the “Extended Center,” and the “Virtual Center,” cater to different stakeholders by offering varying degrees of sovereignty and privileges. These models are aligned with international frameworks and treaties to ensure compliance with global standards and practices. This initiative underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to promoting technological advancements and creating an attractive environment for investments in cutting-edge technologies, data centers, and artificial intelligence.

Overall, the Global Artificial Intelligence Center project is a strategic effort by the Telecommunications, Space, and Technology Authority to position the Kingdom as a key player in the digital economy on a global scale. By soliciting feedback from stakeholders, the authority aims to create a robust legislative and regulatory framework that supports innovation, research, and development in advanced technologies, while promoting data sovereignty and service continuity through sovereign data centers.
