Prince Saud bin Mishal’s Address on the Successful Pilgrimage at Arafat
His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Emir of the Makkah Region and Vice President of the Permanent Committee for Hajj and Umrah, expressed his gratitude to Almighty Allah for enabling pilgrims to gather at the sacred site of Arafat without the occurrence of any health or security incidents that might disrupt their peace. This year’s smooth operation was made possible by the comprehensive service framework provided by the wise leadership of the Kingdom.
During his address at the Arafat site, the Prince remarked, "On this momentous day, pilgrims converge on the sanctified plain of Arafat, responding to the call and engaging in prayer, enveloped in tranquility and reverence. The pilgrims were transported swiftly from the holy city of Makkah and the Mina site to Arafat, all under Allah’s guidance and success. This achievement was made possible through meticulously devised plans characterized by flexibility and efficiency. The integrated services provided by all relevant sectors ensured a seamless experience, without any reports of health or security issues, for which we express our profound thanks to the Almighty."
He took the opportunity to extend heartfelt gratitude to Allah for allowing pilgrims to stand on the blessed ground of Arafat, crediting the effective services organized by the government led by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, who have dedicated significant resources, both human and material, to serve the guests of Allah. This support is bolstered by ongoing developmental projects and plans personally overseen by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior and President of the Supreme Hajj Committee, ensuring that pilgrims enjoy a comfortable and smooth spiritual journey.
Moreover, Prince Saud emphasized the honor and responsibility bestowed upon the leadership, government, and people of Saudi Arabia to care for the holy sites and assist those who seek them, which necessitates dedication and sincerity in fulfilling their duties. He urged all personnel to commit fully to their assigned tasks in order to satisfy divine expectations and meet the aspirations of the leadership.
In his address, the Prince also directed a message to the guests of Allah, security personnel, and volunteers from various sectors. He stated, "To our guests, I urge you to adhere to regulations, instructions, and guidance, as your safety is our primary objective and serving you is our ultimate goal. To the security personnel, staff from diverse sectors, and volunteers, continue your commendable efforts in serving the pilgrims and present a proud image of our nation; we take immense pride in your dedication."
He concluded his remarks by praying for the acceptance of pilgrims’ good deeds, asking for Allah’s care over them, and hoping that their pilgrimage is deemed valid, their efforts acknowledged, and their sins forgiven.
This year’s pilgrimage once again highlighted the effectiveness of Saudi Arabia’s organizational capabilities and the unwavering commitment to providing pilgrims with a safe, enriching experience, ensuring that thousands could carry out this significant religious duty with ease and spirituality.
