“الزكاة” تحث الجمهور على اغتنام فرصة “إلغاء الغرامات والإعفاء من العقوبات المالية” قبل انتهاء المهلة في 30 يونيو المقبل.

The Saudi Authority for Zakat and Tax has officially urged all taxpayers subject to tax regulations to take prompt action and benefit from the initiative aimed at “waiving fines and exempting from financial penalties.” This initiative, which is set to conclude on June 30, 2025, presents a valuable opportunity for compliance.

The Authority elaborated that this initiative offers a reprieve from penalties associated with various tax-related obligations. Specifically, taxpayers will be exempt from late registration fines in all tax systems, delayed payment penalties, and the late submission of declarations under all tax umbrellas. Additionally, the initiative covers penalties for correcting Value Added Tax (VAT) declarations, as well as fines for violations related to the enforcement of electronic invoicing regulations and other general provisions associated with VAT.

To qualify for this initiative, the Authority stipulates that the taxpayer must be registered within the tax system. Furthermore, they must submit all required declarations to the Authority and ensure that the full amount of the principal tax liability associated with these declarations is settled. Taxpayers are also given the option to request installment payments, provided that such requests are made while the initiative remains active. To benefit from this installment plan, taxpayers must adhere to the payment schedule approved by the Authority, ensuring timely payment of all due installments. It is important to note that the initiative does not cover fines related to tax evasion or any penalties that have been paid prior to the enactment of this initiative.

In light of these developments, the Authority encourages all taxpayers to familiarize themselves with the details of the initiative. A simplified guide is accessible on the Authority’s official website, which offers a comprehensive explanation of the key aspects of the extended initiative for waiving fines and exempting from financial penalties. This guide includes information about the types of fines that are included, the eligibility conditions for exemptions, steps for paying off financial dues in installments, and insights into operational violations that fall under the initiative’s purview, complete with illustrative examples.

The Authority is keen to ensure that all taxpayers take advantage of the extension of this initiative before it concludes at the end of June 2025. Additionally, the Authority has made support readily available for any inquiries related to the initiative. Taxpayers can reach out through the unified contact center number “19993,” which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They can also utilize the “Ask Zakat and Tax” account on the X platform (@Zatca_Care) or contact the Authority via email at info@zatca.gov.sa. For real-time assistance, taxpayers may engage through the live chat feature on the Authority’s website, zatca.gov.sa.

This initiative represents a significant measure by the Saudi Authority for Zakat and Tax to encourage compliance and support taxpayers in fulfilling their financial obligations without the added burden of penalties. As the deadline approaches, proactive participation is encouraged to ensure compliance and take advantage of this unique opportunity.
