وزارة الحج والعمرة تستضيف الندوة الكبرى للحج غدًا

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in collaboration with the Council of Senior Scholars and King Abdulaziz Foundation, is set to host the 49th Grand Hajj Symposium under the theme “Capability in Hajj and Contemporary Developments.” This significant event will take place tomorrow, Sunday, at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Jeddah.

This symposium represents an essential effort by the ministry to elucidate the concept of capability within Islamic jurisprudence and to discuss its various dimensions in light of contemporary issues. The aim is to facilitate the performance of the Hajj pilgrimage and ensure that the objectives of Islamic law are met effectively.

The agenda for the symposium includes several academic and discussion sessions. A key highlight will be the main ministerial session titled “Facilitating the Ritual and Empowering Pilgrims in Alignment with the Kingdom’s Vision for Serving Hajj Visitors.” This session will feature notable participants, including the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah; the Minister of Health, Mr. Fahd Al-Jalajel; the Director of Public Security, General Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Basami; and the Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, Engineer Saleh Al-Rashid. The session will be moderated by the CEO of the Guests of Allah Service Program, Engineer Abu Khair Ismail.

Following this, the symposium will host a second scientific session entitled “The Concept of Capability in Islam and Its Impact on Facilitating the Hajj Rite.” This engaging session promises to delve into the theological and practical implications of capability, further enhancing discussions on the subject.

Additionally, there will be a meeting with the heads of Hajj Affairs Offices aimed at fostering institutional integration and exchanging developmental insights among relevant authorities. The symposium will also feature the participation of various ministers, esteemed scholars, heads of Hajj missions, and specialists from both within the Kingdom and abroad. These participants will share diverse intellectual and scientific experiences while examining one of the central concepts in modern Hajj jurisprudence. This collaborative environment is designed to promote scientific dialogue and intellectual exchange, benefitting all who seek to serve the masses of pilgrims.

This year’s symposium is anticipated to be particularly fruitful, as it provides a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experiences among various stakeholders involved in the facilitation of Hajj. By addressing contemporary challenges and opportunities, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah aims to enhance the experience of pilgrims and ensure that all aspects of the pilgrimage are accessible and inclusive.

Through meticulous preparation and the involvement of key figures in both the religious and governmental sectors, the symposium is expected not only to contribute to the theoretical discourse around Hajj but also to yield practical solutions for real-world issues faced by pilgrims. The initiative reflects a commitment to uphold the sacred traditions of Islam while adapting to the rapidly changing global context.

This notable gathering is not just an academic exercise; it serves as a critical reminder of the enduring importance of Hajj in the lives of millions. By focusing on the theme of capability, the symposium aims to empower potential pilgrims, ensuring that they have the necessary understanding and resources to undertake this significant journey.

In conclusion, the 49th Grand Hajj Symposium embodies a comprehensive approach to understanding and facilitating one of the pillars of Islam within a contemporary framework. It sets the stage for meaningful discussions that resonate with both the spiritual and practical dimensions of Hajj, ensuring that the rituals continue to be performed with dignity and accessibility for all Muslims worldwide.
