الطقس المتوقع ودرجات الحرارة ليوم الأحد، 25 مايو 2025

The National Center of Meteorology has issued its weather forecast for today, predicting hot to extremely hot conditions across various regions of the Kingdom. The report indicates that there will be active winds stirring up dust and sand, which will likely reduce visibility, particularly along the southern coastal road stretching from Makkah to Jazan. Additionally, parts of the Najran and Eastern regions, as well as areas east of the southwestern highlands, are expected to experience similar effects.
The forecast also notes the possibility of thunderstorm activity accompanied by vigorous winds in certain areas of the Asir and Jazan highlands. This weather pattern could lead to localized, but potentially intense, rainfall in these mountainous regions.
For maritime conditions, the report describes the surface winds over the Red Sea as blowing from the north to northwest at speeds ranging from 20 to 45 kilometers per hour. The wave heights are anticipated to fluctuate between one to two meters, indicating moderately rough seas. Meanwhile, in the Arabian Gulf, surface winds will predominantly come from the northwest to west at speeds of 15 to 38 kilometers per hour, with wave heights expected to range from half a meter to one and a half meters, resulting in slightly to moderately rough sea conditions.
Overall, the National Center of Meteorology urges residents and travelers in affected areas to remain vigilant due to the expected harsh weather and to take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
