Saudi Female Personnel from the Ministry of Interior Participate in “Makkah Route” Initiative to Enhance Pilgrims’ Experience
Saudi Arabia’s female workforce within the Ministry of Interior is actively involved in the "Makkah Route" initiative, spearheading efforts to assist pilgrims from Kuala Lumpur International Airport. This initiative aims to facilitate a seamless and reassuring experience for devotees undertaking the sacred pilgrimage of Hajj.
Corporal Sarah Al-Jahani expressed her profound honor at being entrusted with such an esteemed role in serving the pilgrims. She emphasized the collective commitment to delivering exceptional service and organization throughout the journey. Al-Jahani shared her heartfelt emotions upon witnessing the joy and anticipation in the eyes of the pilgrims, eager to fulfill their religious obligations.
She acknowledged the significant responsibility of representing the nation on this mission under the Makkah Route initiative. Al-Jahani expressed her hope to meet expectations, wishing for divine rewards for herself and her colleagues for their dedicated service to both faith and country.
Similarly, Corporal Dalaa Shabiani highlighted her enthusiasm for participating in the Makkah Route initiative in Malaysia. She reiterated her commitment to providing exceptional services, enhancing the pilgrimage experience for all involved.
The inaugural flight benefiting from the Makkah Route initiative departed from Malaysia on April 29, 2025. Passengers travelled through the dedicated lounge at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, heading to Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah.
The Makkah Route initiative was designed with the objective of offering high-quality service to the guests of Allah. The approach emphasizes allowing pilgrims to complete their necessary procedures seamlessly within their home countries. This includes capturing biometric data, electronically issuing Hajj visas, and streamlining passport processing at the departure airport.
In addition, the initiative encompasses verifying health requirements, tagging luggage, and sorting them according to transportation and accommodation arrangements within the Kingdom. Pilgrims are then directly led to their designated buses for transport to their accommodations in Makkah and Madinah, equipped with specialized routes. Partnering agencies are responsible for ensuring that the pilgrims’ luggage is transported directly to their accommodations.
The Makkah Route initiative is a testament to Saudi Arabia’s commitment to elevating the Hajj experience, leveraging advanced practices for an efficient process. Through these efforts, the Kingdom aims to provide a nurturing environment for all pilgrims, demonstrating its dedication to their spiritual journey and well-being.
As female personnel take on these critical roles, their contributions signify a progressive step towards inclusive service provision in Saudi Arabia, showcasing the empowerment of women in public service. Their dedication not only facilitates the pilgrimage process but also reflects the nation’s values of hospitality, service, and respect for religious traditions.
In summary, the efforts of the Saudi female workforce involved in the Makkah Route initiative extend far beyond logistical coordination; they symbolize a cultural respect and reverence towards the pilgrims. By enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring a sense of security, these women play a vital role in preserving the sanctity and importance of the Hajj pilgrimage, while also fostering pride in national representation on a global stage.
