Head of Islamic Bank Group Meets with Qatari Finance Minister and Director General of Qatar Development Fund

Today, Dr. Mohamed Al-Jasser, the President of the Islamic Development Bank Group, met with the Minister of Finance of Qatar and the Governor of the Islamic Development Bank, Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, to strengthen Qatar’s longstanding partnership with the bank. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Spring Meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund in Washington.
The focus of the meeting was on strategic priorities and shared interests, including enhancing high-impact initiatives and deepening cooperation through regional development platforms. Additionally, Dr. Al-Jasser met with the Director General of the Qatar Development Fund, Fahd bin Hamad Al-Sulaiti, in Washington, to enhance cooperation in results-based development financing.
The meeting discussed opportunities for cooperation with the Qatar Development Fund in developing Sukuk and increasing its participation in the Livelihood and Living Fund, with a shared focus on expanding impact and achieving tangible results. Dr. Al-Jasser reaffirmed the Islamic Development Bank’s commitment to providing tangible and high-impact development solutions.
