The official spokesperson for the Presidency of Religious Affairs in the Holy Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Souli, denied the existence of any accounts in the name of the honorable imams and preachers of the Two Holy Mosques on social media platforms. He warned against fake and misleading websites that spread false content, using manipulated audio clips purportedly from the honorable imams through artificial intelligence-generated content, emphasizing that any content not originating from the official presidential website is not credible and cannot be attributed to the imams of the Two Holy Mosques.
Al-Souli stressed the importance of obtaining content from verified sources within the Department of Religious Affairs, asserting that the Presidency is determined to take official action in accordance with cybercrime laws against anyone who defames the imams and preachers of the Two Holy Mosques. He also emphasized the need to verify the accuracy of any source before listening to, watching, or sharing content related to the imams and preachers of the Two Holy Mosques, urging all those interested in the news and achievements of the Presidency of Religious Affairs in the Holy Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque on social media platforms to be cautious of these deceptive and malicious accounts seeking to penetrate intellectual and social security, creating a religious confusion and mixing of scientific and cognitive knowledge.
