Finance Ministry Launches Self-Regulation Program to Empower Financial Practitioners and Enhance Their Skills

The Ministry of Finance has launched a program called “Self-Control” through its Financial Skills Center. The program aims to empower financial practitioners and enhance their skills in self-control as part of the “Support and Development of Financial Control Operations” initiative. This initiative seeks to improve the regulatory environment in government entities by training specialized ambassadors in the field.

The program focuses on providing participants with the latest concepts and advanced internal control systems, with an emphasis on enhancing sound financial decision-making skills. It targets specialists and mid-level managers in internal audit, risk, governance, and compliance departments. Participants are selected based on their practical experience of no less than two years in the public financial sector.

The “Self-Control” program aims to strengthen participants’ ability to effectively implement self-control, thereby improving regulatory performance and reducing financial risks in government institutions. It is part of the Ministry of Finance’s ongoing commitment to developing human resources in the public sector and reflects efforts to build a strong regulatory work environment capable of addressing modern challenges in the financial sector in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
