Border Guard patrols in Jazan and Asir regions foil attempt to smuggle 280 kg of narcotic qat plant

Border patrols in Jazan region thwarted the smuggling of 180 kilograms of the narcotic plant ‘qat’, completing the necessary legal procedures and handing over the confiscated items to the relevant authorities.

In addition, patrols in the Raboua sector in Asir region apprehended 5 Ethiopian nationals violating border security laws for smuggling 100 kilograms of qat. Legal procedures were completed against them, and they were handed over along with the confiscated items to the appropriate authorities.
