Ministry of Foreign Trade Participates in Preparatory Meeting with Trade Representatives from GCC Countries’ Ministries of Commerce

Ministers of commerce from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries held their sixtieth preparatory meeting in Kuwait today, with the participation of Jihad Bin Hamad Al-Hadhil, General Director of the General Administration for International Organizations. The meeting aimed to enhance cooperation among GCC countries, discussing various topics on the agenda in preparation for the 68th Ministerial Committee for Trade Cooperation meeting. Key points included the development and adoption of a unified legislative framework for trade in the region, monitoring progress on implementing unified commercial laws, and reviewing the achievements of subcommittees under the Trade Cooperation Committee, such as the Internal Trade Committee, External Trade Committee, Small and Medium Enterprises Committee, Consumer Protection Committee, and related teams.
This meeting serves as preparation for the sixty-eighth Trade and Industry Ministers meeting of the GCC countries, scheduled to be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 in Kuwait.
