Saudi Prince to preside over graduation ceremony at Al Faisal University and inaugurate projects worth 500 million riyals

The cornerstone for the advanced engineering and computer science college and the law and international relations college at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, part of the third phase of the university campus completion project, was laid by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh Region. The cost of these projects exceeds 500 million Saudi riyals.
During the graduation ceremony of the first batch of students from the law and international relations college and the fourteenth batch of students from the business college at Princess Haya bint Turki Hall in the university headquarters in Riyadh, Prince Faisal officiated the event.
Upon his arrival at the ceremony, Prince Faisal was welcomed by Princess Dr. Maha bint Mishari bin Abdulaziz, the university’s Vice President for Development and External Relations, Prince Bandar bin Saud bin Khalid, the head of the executive committee, and Dr. Mohammad Al-Hayaza, the President of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. Following the royal salutation and the procession of graduates, the ceremony commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran.
In his speech, Dr. Al-Hayaza expressed gratitude to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for their support and attention to education, research, and innovation. He also praised Prince Faisal for his sponsorship and participation in the ceremony, as well as for laying the foundation stone for the university’s projects. Dr. Al-Hayaza highlighted the university’s academic and strategic achievements, including its selection as part of the “Riyadh” initiative, which aims to have nine Saudi universities among the top 200 universities globally by 2030.
Dr. Al-Hayaza emphasized the restructuring of several university colleges, the introduction of new quality specializations, and the expansion of master’s and doctoral programs to meet the demands of the job market. Additionally, he mentioned that 12 professors from the university were included in Stanford University’s list of the top 2% of scientists worldwide for the year 2024, showcasing the university’s research status and the excellence of its academic staff.
Prince Faisal and the attendees watched a short film titled “Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University: Shaping the Future.” The graduation address was delivered, in which the graduates thanked Prince Faisal for honoring and supporting their educational journey, expressing their happiness at harvesting the fruits of their hard work. They pledged to continue seeking knowledge and serving their country and leadership.
The names of the graduates for the current academic year were announced, followed by the graduates taking their oath and capturing group photos with Prince Faisal. The ceremony was attended by members of the royal family, ministers, and guardians of the students.
