Ministry of Islamic Affairs Continues Distribution of Holy Qurans to Pilgrims Departing from Jeddah
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance for the Makkah Region, through its office at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, is actively engaged in distributing the esteemed gift of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud—May God protect him—consisting of copies of the Holy Quran. This noble initiative targets the pilgrims departing following their completion of this year’s Hajj rituals.
The distribution is being conducted in a systematic manner, adhering to a well-structured schedule that encompasses all flights leaving from the pilgrim terminal, the northern terminal, and Terminal 1. Ministry employees are deployed around the clock to ensure a seamless process for the pilgrims, providing support and assistance as needed—God willing.
In response to this thoughtful gesture, the departing pilgrims expressed their profound gratitude to the government of King Salman—May God protect him—for the extensive support and facilities made available to them during their pilgrimage. Many pilgrims highlighted that the warm receptions and farewells aptly reflect the generosity and hospitality extended to pilgrims, visitors, and worshippers in this blessed land each year. They prayed for the continued prosperity and safety of the Kingdom.
Notably, this year marks a remarkable distribution effort, with a total of 2,521,380 copies of the Holy Quran, produced by the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran in Medina, being allocated for this purpose. These copies are available in various languages, ensuring inclusivity for a diverse group of international pilgrims.
This extensive initiative reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to facilitating the spiritual journey of Hajj for millions of Muslims worldwide, demonstrating a deep-seated tradition of hospitality that aligns with Islamic values. The distribution not only reinforces the bond between the custodians of the Holy Places and the pilgrims but also enriches the spiritual experience they undergo during one of the most significant rites in Islam.
As part of this initiative, the ministry’s goal is to ensure that every pilgrim leaves with a tangible token of their spiritual journey—a copy of the Holy Quran—to take back home. This is intended not only to commemorate their pilgrimage but also to encourage the continued study and reverence of the Holy Quran in everyday life.
Moreover, the systematic approach to the distribution process illustrates the bureaucratic efficiency of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, showcasing its readiness to serve the needs of pilgrims. The enhanced logistics at the airport confirm the emphasis placed on providing a fulfilling pilgrimage experience, beginning from their arrival to their farewell.
In conclusion, the ongoing distribution of the Holy Quran to departing pilgrims from Jeddah Airport serves as a testament to the Kingdom’s dedication to Islamic values and the spiritual nurture of pilgrims. The abundance of copies distributed this year further underscores the Kingdom’s role as a global leader in fostering Islamic teachings and maintaining the sacred heritage associated with the pilgrimage. As the pilgrims express their gratitude, they leave with a profound sense of appreciation for the care and attention they have received, embodying the spirit of community and dedication that characterizes the Hajj experience.
