تيسيراً للحجاج: ‘شؤون الحرمين’ تطلق خدمة حفظ الأمتعة لضيوف بيت الله الحرام

The General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques has announced the launch of a luggage storage service for pilgrims visiting the holy sites. This initiative aims to facilitate the performance of rituals for visitors to the Holy Kaaba with ease and comfort.
The authority clarified that luggage retrieval can be completed at designated storage centers or collection points located near the main entrances. The storage process is meticulously designed to ensure safety, utilizing specially equipped shelves and monitoring systems that provide secure storage. Each piece of luggage undergoes a thorough inspection and documentation process, upon which a wristband embedded with the pilgrim’s information is issued. This enables quick retrieval and a precise matching of details, ensuring that all items are accounted for.
Once the luggage is registered, it is subject to a swift electronic identification scan, whereby the data is verified to confirm ownership. After these steps, the items are safely stored and transported, ensuring maximum protection against loss or damage throughout the pilgrimage period.
To better serve the thousands of pilgrims expected during the Hajj season, the authority has established four primary luggage storage centers. These locations include the parking area to the west of the toilets numbered 6, the street adjacent to the toilets numbered 1, the guest care center in the western courtyard, and a unit next to the Makkah Library located in the eastern courtyard. Each of these centers operates 24 hours a day throughout the Hajj season, accommodating the needs of the pilgrims at all hours.
In addition to the main storage centers, there are also seven designated luggage pickup points situated at the primary entrances of the mosque. This ensures that pilgrims have convenient access to luggage retrieval, easing the often-busy flow of travelers during this vital period.
This comprehensive luggage management service is part of the broader strategy by the General Authority to enhance services provided to pilgrims, reflecting the importance placed on their comfort and safety. It aims to streamline the experience of performing religious obligations without the added burden of managing personal belongings.
By implementing state-of-the-art systems for monitoring and safekeeping, the authorities ensure that pilgrims can focus on their spiritual practices without the worry of losing their luggage. The emphasis on tracking and data verification illustrates a commitment to providing a seamless and trustworthy experience for all visitors to the holy sites.
As millions prepare to embark on this sacred journey, these efforts signify a pivotal enhancement in pilgrimage services, showcasing the ongoing dedication of the Saudi authorities to improve facilities and support for individuals from around the globe. The initiative not only underscores the logistical aspects of managing increased visitor numbers but also highlights the cultural and spiritual significance of Hajj, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s role as a leading host for one of the world’s largest religious gatherings.
Overall, the luggage storage service exemplifies the thoughtful measures being implemented to ensure that pilgrims can fully engage in their religious observances, free from the distractions of mundane concerns like baggage management. With these advancements, the General Authority is setting new standards for the Hajj experience, prioritizing the welfare and convenience of all participants.
