“شؤون الحرمين” تنهي التحضيرات لتوفير الترجمة الفورية لخطبة عرفة بـ34 لغة عالمية.

The General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques has announced that it has completed preparations for the translation of the Arafat sermon. This initiative is part of a broader project initiated by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, aimed at conveying the gentle message of Islam to various cultures worldwide in their native languages. The project also seeks to foster communication between Muslims and non-Muslims, highlighting the Kingdom’s commitment to serving the Two Holy Mosques and the pilgrims.

The primary goal of the project is to provide real-time and direct translations of the Arafat sermon into over 34 languages. This initiative aims to reach as many Muslims as possible globally, underpinning the principle of “clear communication” and reinforcing messages of tolerance and unity.

This project stands out as one of the major qualitative initiatives during the Hajj season. It notably employs Quick Response (QR) codes, allowing for straightforward access to both textual and audio translations of the sermon. This innovative use of technology enables pilgrims to listen to the sermon in their native language, whether they are within the sacred sites or beyond.

To maximize the reach and effectiveness of this service, QR codes have been strategically distributed through screens at various facilities, buses, and hotels accommodating pilgrims. Additionally, they have been disseminated through various media platforms of governmental bodies, while also coordinating with the Ministry of Media to target international news outlets.

The project aims to serve a diverse audience, with particular focus on non-Arabic speakers. It also targets partners of the General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques, government entities involved in the Hajj operations, as well as citizens, residents, visitors, and local and international media.

By implementing this initiative, the Kingdom showcases its dedication to facilitating access to the teachings of Islam, thereby enriching the experience of pilgrims during one of the most significant events in the Islamic calendar. This translation service not only empowers individuals with language barriers but also fosters a deeper understanding of Islamic principles among a global audience.

In conclusion, the project to translate the Arafat sermon enhances the Kingdom’s role as a global leader in interfaith dialogue. It symbolizes a commitment to promoting peace, tolerance, and understanding through religion, making it a landmark initiative in the efforts to connect diverse communities through the universal values of Islam. With such initiatives, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to enhance its position in the international arena, ensuring that the essence of Islamic teachings is accessible to everyone, regardless of their linguistic background.
