His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, extended the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Prime Minister. He congratulated all those involved in executing the Hajj security plans, including personnel from the Ministry of Interior, the State Security Presidency, and supporting military sectors, on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha and the successful completion of this year’s Hajj season 1446 AH.
This expression of gratitude came during a meeting held today at the Ministry’s headquarters in Mecca, where senior officials from the ministry, security sector leaders, and commanders from Hajj security forces, along with military and security support agencies, gathered. In his address, Prince Abdulaziz highlighted the commitment of the leadership to provide necessary resources and emphasized the importance of collaboration among various governmental and security bodies. This collective effort led to the implementation of successful plans for this year’s Hajj, which he described as a milestone in the continuous development of Hajj management.
The Minister noted that early planning, effective execution, ongoing monitoring, optimal use of technology, and awareness among pilgrims and Hajj delegations played significant roles in achieving this year’s success. He acknowledged that all participating organizations fulfilled their responsibilities in delivering services to pilgrims from diverse backgrounds and nationalities. Security personnel ensured the safety of the guests of Allah, while robust health services were provided to facilitate a smooth and well-organized performance of Hajj rituals.
Furthermore, Prince Abdulaziz commended the dedication demonstrated by the security and military sectors, which functioned cohesively with a spirit of sincerity and commitment to serving the nation and fulfilling their religious duties. In conclusion, he directed all participant agencies to commence preparations for the upcoming Hajj season of 1447 AH, acknowledging the need for ongoing readiness and development of strategies.
During the event, Major General Mohamed bin Abdullah Al-Basami, the Director of Public Security and Head of the Hajj Security Committee, also delivered remarks. He affirmed that this year’s Hajj security plans achieved their objectives thanks to divine assistance, the wise guidance of leadership, and the supervision of the Minister of Interior. He noted that the restructuring of committees under the Supreme Hajj Committee greatly contributed to positive indicators, demonstrating effective coordination and alignment among all participating entities.
General Al-Basami reassured that the Hajj security forces would continue to monitor the execution of security plans until the conclusion of the pilgrimage season and the safe return of pilgrims to their home countries.
The meeting was attended by several dignitaries, including Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, the acting Deputy Minister of Interior; Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Huwairini, the Director of State Security; Khalid bin Ali Al-Humaidan, the Director of General Intelligence; Sheikh Dr. Abdul Salam bin Abdullah Al-Sulaiman, a member of the Council of Senior Scholars and the Standing Committee for Issuing Fatwas; among other senior officials and military leaders participating in the Hajj mission.
In essence, the successful execution of this year’s Hajj indicated an efficient collaborative framework among various agencies, one that not only prioritized security but also the comfort and well-being of the millions of pilgrims who attended the sacred event.
