The National Center of Meteorology has released its weather report for today, forecasting the ongoing impact of dust particles that will reduce horizontal visibility across several regions, including Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Makkah, and Medina. Meanwhile, the report indicates a continuing rise in maximum temperatures across parts of the Eastern region of the country.
According to the findings, surface wind patterns in the Red Sea are primarily from the north to the northwest, blowing at speeds ranging from 20 to 45 km/h in the northern section. In certain areas near the Gulf of Aqaba, wind speeds can reach up to 60 km/h. In contrast, the central and southern parts of the Red Sea will see winds blowing at a milder pace of 12 to 32 km/h.
Wave heights in the northern area of the Red Sea are expected to range from one to two meters, potentially exceeding two meters due to conditions near the Gulf of Aqaba. Meanwhile, the middle and southern sections will experience waves measuring between half a meter to one and a half meters. The overall condition of the sea will be moderate in the northern section, becoming rougher towards the Gulf of Aqaba. Conversely, the central and southern portions will describe the sea state as gentle to moderate.
Turning to the Arabian Gulf, surface winds are forecasted to blow from the northwest to the west at a speed of 15 to 35 km/h, while wave heights are expected to span from half a meter to one and a half meters, with the sea conditions described as gentle to moderate.
This weather outlook emphasizes the significance of being aware of local conditions, particularly in regions affected by dust, which can pose health risks and impact daily activities. Residents and travelers are advised to exercise caution and stay updated on any changes in weather patterns, particularly those that might affect visibility and overall safety. The increase in temperatures could also necessitate precautionary measures to prevent heat-related issues.
Air quality may also be compromised due to the dust concentration, prompting recommendations for vulnerable populations, such as those with respiratory issues, to stay indoors during peak times of dust activity. Staying hydrated and protecting oneself from the sun is essential as temperatures rise, especially in outdoor settings.
In summary, today’s weather forecast presents a mixed bag of challenges, with dust clouds causing visibility issues across several key areas, while eastern regions will experience rising temperatures. Residents are encouraged to stay informed and take proactive steps to manage the conditions effectively. As the climate can change rapidly, access to reliable weather information is crucial for ensuring safety and well-being.
