عواصف رعدية تصيب بعض مناطق المملكة بأمطار غزيرة

The National Center for Meteorology has issued a weather report indicating that conditions remain favorable for thunderstorms accompanied by hail and active winds that may stir up dust and sand across various regions of Saudi Arabia today, by God’s will. Areas affected include Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Makkah, Madinah, Hail, Qassim, and Riyadh. Additionally, the impacts of strong winds will continue to diminish visibility in the Eastern Province and Najran.

According to the report, surface winds over the Red Sea are expected to blow from the northwest to the west at speeds ranging from 15 to 35 km/h, potentially increasing to 45 km/h towards the Gulf of Aqaba. The height of the waves is anticipated to range from half a meter to one and a half meters, with the sea conditions categorized as light to moderate. In contrast, surface winds across the Arabian Gulf will also come from the northwest to the west, with speeds of 15 to 35 km/h in the northern region and between 30 to 50 km/h in the central and southern areas. Wave heights will vary from one meter to one and a half meters in the north, while the middle and southern regions may see wave heights between one and a half to two and a half meters, leading to conditions of moderate to rough seas in these areas.

The ongoing weather disturbances are expected to lead to varying conditions throughout the day, particularly in the south-western and central regions of the country, as Gulf moisture continues to influence local weather patterns. Thunderstorms are more likely in the late afternoon and evening hours when temperatures can significantly drop, causing atmospheric instability and increasing the potential for rain.

Residents and travelers are advised to remain vigilant and exercise caution during these adverse weather conditions, especially in areas prone to flooding or reduced visibility due to dust storms. It is critical to monitor updates and advisories from the National Center for Meteorology, as conditions can change rapidly.

In summary, the current weather forecast highlights a range of meteorological phenomena affecting multiple regions of Saudi Arabia today. While thunderstorms and hail are expected in various areas, the ongoing impacts of strong winds across certain locales will necessitate awareness and preparedness. Authorities and meteorological services will continue to monitor the situation, providing timely information to ensure public safety.
