Sunday, May 4, 2025: Weather Forecast and Expected Temperatures

The National Center of Meteorology has issued a weather forecast that anticipates significant rainfall across various regions of Saudi Arabia today, by the will of God. The report indicates that areas such as Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Makkah, Riyadh, and Qassim are expected to experience moderate to heavy thunderstorms, which may lead to flash floods. Additionally, these storms will be accompanied by hail showers and strong winds, stirring up dust and reducing visibility. Lighter rainfall is anticipated in the regions of Hail, Eastern Province, Northern Borders, Al-Jawf, and Tabuk.

The report emphasizes that strong surface winds could limit horizontal visibility in certain parts of Medina. Conditions on the Red Sea are expected to feature northwestern to northern winds, ranging between 20 to 42 km/h in the northern and central sections. In contrast, southern winds will come from the southwest to northwest at speeds of 15 to 35 km/h. The wave height is projected to be between one to two meters in the northern and central areas and from half a meter to one and a half meters in the south, with the sea generally described as moderately calm.

For the Arabian Gulf, surface winds are predicted to blow from the northwestern to northeastern directions, shifting in the evening to a southeastern direction at speeds of 10 to 30 km/h in the northern and central areas. In the southern section, winds are expected to range from 12 to 32 km/h, with wave heights varying from half a meter to one and a half meters, characterizing the sea as moderately calm as well.

As a whole, the weather forecast paints a picture of dynamic atmospheric conditions across the kingdom, particularly focusing on the potential for hazardous weather events that could disrupt daily activities. Residents in the affected areas are advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions against flooding, strong winds, and reduced visibility.

The prediction of rain and thunderstorms has underscored the importance of staying tuned to local updates and alerts, especially for those planning outdoor activities or travel through the impacted regions. Furthermore, it serves as a reminder of the ever-changing nature of weather patterns and the need for preparedness in the face of potential severe climate conditions.

In summary, today’s weather forecast outlines a comprehensive overview of various climatic elements affecting different regions of Saudi Arabia, particularly highlighting the significant rainfall, strong winds, and potential flooding. The advice for residents to exercise caution remains paramount as they navigate these looming weather challenges.
