Embassy of Saudi Arabia in France Hosts Seminar on Vision 2030 and Achievements
The Embassy of Saudi Arabia in France, in partnership with the Francophone Business Forum, organized a seminar centered around Vision 2030, coinciding with the release of the ninth annual report on this ambitious initiative. The event attracted a diverse audience, including French officials, members of parliament, accredited ambassadors, media representatives, major corporate executives, and consultants, all eager to engage in discussions regarding the progress and partnerships stemming from Vision 2030.
Opening the seminar, His Excellency Fahd bin Mayouf Al-Ruwaili, the Saudi Ambassador to France and Monaco, welcomed attendees with a warm introduction. He provided an overview of the report, highlighting the updated information and impressive achievements within the framework of Vision 2030. Al-Ruwaili emphasized the substantial success of various indicators related to national programs and strategies. Among the report’s triumphs were advancements in human resource development, the empowerment of women, the enhancement of infrastructure, the localization of technology, and initiatives aimed at sustainable development and environmental protection. He also discussed the collaborative frameworks and partnerships established between Saudi Arabia and France under Vision 2030, underscoring their joint efforts to promote security and stability both regionally and internationally.
Following his address, Steve Gentili, the President of the Francophone Business Forum, took the stage to discuss the growing business and technological partnerships between Saudi Arabia and France. Gentili highlighted the increased mutual investment opportunities and the attractive business environment in Saudi Arabia, showcasing how these elements contribute to the bilateral relationship.
Additionally, Jean-Yves Le Drian, the President of the French Agency for the Development of Al-Ula (AFALULA), praised the enduring friendship and strategic partnership between the two nations. He noted the continuous evolution of this relationship and shared insights about the Al-Ula Development Project, one of the major initiatives launched as part of Vision 2030. Le Drian elaborated on the project’s successes at various stages, as well as the establishment of the Villa Hegra Foundation, which serves as a cultural institution promoting bilateral cooperation. He commended the effective role of Saudi diplomacy in both regional and international arenas.
The seminar continued with contributions from other officials involved in partnership development between Saudi Arabia and France, each echoing sentiments of goodwill and progress in their respective fields.
As the event drew to a close, participants engaged in a lively discussion, accompanied by the serving of traditional Saudi coffee and popular dishes that fostered a sense of cultural exchange among attendees.
