Deputy Foreign Minister Participates in 163rd Ministerial Meeting of Arab League

In place of His Highness Prince Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Engineer Walid bin Abdul Karim Al-Khurji, participated today in the 163rd ministerial meeting of the Arab League at its headquarters in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
During the meeting, His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized that peace is the strategic choice for the Middle East region and that the region’s security requires expedited efforts to find a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue in accordance with international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative. He also stressed the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital on the 1967 borders.
He highlighted the Kingdom’s support for the Palestinian people and the importance of sustaining and implementing the ceasefire in Gaza. He called on the Israeli occupation to respect international law and put an end to the crimes committed against Palestine and its people. The Kingdom also reiterated its complete rejection of any calls to displace the Palestinian people and any attempts to impose solutions that do not meet the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people in determining their fate.
His Excellency also mentioned the Kingdom’s continued work with partner and friendly countries through the “International Alliance for Implementing the Two-State Solution” to advance the implementation of the two-state solution. He also emphasized the importance of Arab joint efforts and the Kingdom’s commitment to coordinating with Arab countries at all levels to confront common challenges, unify visions, and achieve security, stability, and prosperity in the region.
