Finance Minister Leads Saudi Delegation in IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings for 2025

Minister of Finance, Mohammed Al-Jadaan, is leading the Saudi delegation to the 2025 Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank, scheduled to take place in Washington, D.C. from April 21-26.
The delegation includes the Governor of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), Ayman Al-Sayari, Deputy Minister of Finance Abdulmohsen Al-Khalaf, Assistant Minister of Finance for Macroeconomic Policies and International Relations Abdullah Bin Zaraa, Deputy Chairman of the International Monetary and Financial Committee Riyadh Al-Khairy, Ministry of Finance International Relations Undersecretary Khaled Baouzir, CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development Sultan Al-Mansour, and CEO of the National Debt Management Center Hani Al-Madani, along with experts from various Saudi financial institutions.
During the meetings, the Minister of Finance and the Central Bank Governor will participate in the second meeting of G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors under the Presidency of South Africa. Discussions will focus on economic and development issues, as well as ways to enhance international cooperation to address current challenges in the global economy.
The Finance Minister will also attend a meeting of the World Bank’s Development Committee to discuss updates on global development activities and plans implemented by the group.
Al-Jadaan will chair the International Monetary and Financial Committee meeting of the IMF to discuss global economic developments, growth prospects, surrounding risks, and policy priorities. The role of the IMF in dealing with these developments through financial assistance, advice, capacity building for member countries, and financial support for those in need will also be addressed.
The Spring Meetings serve as a platform for Finance Ministers, Central Bank Governors, senior officials from international organizations, the private sector, civil society organizations, and academics to discuss important topics such as the global economy, financial system, sustainable development, poverty eradication, and other economic and financial issues.
