Saudi King Sends Written Message to Iran’s Leader

King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia sent a written letter to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Khamenei. The letter was delivered by Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Defense, during a meeting with the Supreme Leader in Tehran today.

Prince Khalid conveyed the greetings of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the Supreme Leader of Iran, along with their wishes for further progress and prosperity for the government and people of Iran. In return, the Supreme Leader expressed his regards and appreciation for King Salman and the Crown Prince.

The meeting included a discussion on bilateral relations, as well as issues of mutual interest. Also present at the meeting were General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, the Chief of General Staff; Khalid bin Fareed Al-Harawi, Royal Court Advisor; and Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif, the Director-General of the Defense Minister’s Office.

On the Iranian side, attendees included General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces; Mohammad Mohammadi Golpaygani, Chief of Staff of the Office of the Supreme Leader; Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics; along with several other senior officials.

The meeting served as an opportunity to strengthen ties between the two countries and to address common concerns. It highlighted the importance of dialogue and cooperation in promoting stability and prosperity in the region. Both sides expressed their commitment to peaceful relations and constructive engagement moving forward.
