Chairman of Shura Council Holds Official Talks with President of Kazakh Senate

In Riyadh today, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al Sheikh, President of the Shura Council, held official talks at the Shura Council headquarters with Maulen Ashimbayev, President of the Senate of Kazakhstan.

At the beginning of the meeting, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah welcomed the Kazakhstani Senate President and his accompanying delegation, discussing the work mechanism of the Shura Council and its legislative and supervisory roles. He highlighted the strong ties between the Kingdom and Kazakhstan, expressing interest in further cooperation, especially in parliamentary relations.

The Kazakhstani Senate President expressed delight in visiting Saudi Arabia, thanking for the warm reception and hospitality. He emphasized the Kingdom’s importance as a reliable partner for Kazakhstan in the Islamic world and international relations. He acknowledged the significant transformations in Saudi Arabia through Vision 2030, wishing for more progress and prosperity for the Kingdom and its people, anticipating that the visit would enhance relations between Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan.

The talks focused on enhancing and developing cooperation between the two countries, especially in the parliamentary field. They also discussed various regional and international issues of common interest.

The official talks were attended by Dr. Mishaal Al-Sulami, Vice President of the Shura Council, Dr. Hanan Al-Ahmadi, Assistant to the President of the Council, Mohammed Al-Mutairi, Secretary-General of the Council, as well as members of the Council including Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Muhanna, Mohammad Al-Faraj, Dr. Asem Madkhali, Ibrahim Al-Dghrier, Dr. Arwa Al-Rashid, Dr. Bassem El-Sayed, Brigadier Badr Al-Shalhoub, Dr. Turki Al-Anzi, Dr. Taqwa Omar, Saad Al-Otaibi, Abdullah bin Ayyafan, Ali Al-Qahtani, Dr. Mohammed Al-Jarbua, and Walid Abdelshakour.

Also present from the Kazakhstani Senate were Swendik Aldashiyaev, Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, Innovative Development, and Entrepreneurship; Nurlan Beknazarov, Chairman of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation, Judicial System, and Law Enforcement Agencies; Ali Beiktayev, Chairman of the Committee on Agricultural Issues, Environmental Management, and Rural Development; Nourzabay Atbenov, the Grand Mufti of Kazakhstan; and Madiaar Menelbekov, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom.
