Tourism authorities in Mecca tighten hospitality facilities by prohibiting accommodation of guests without pilgrimage permits.

The Ministry of Tourism has emphasized the need for all hospitality facilities in Mecca to refrain from accommodating individuals who do not possess a Hajj permit or authorization to enter the city for work or residency during the Hajj season. This directive will be enforced starting from the 1st of Dhul Qa’dah 1446 AH, corresponding to the 29th of April 2025, until the end of the Hajj season.

This announcement aligns with the arrangements and measures declared by the Ministry of Interior to ensure the safety and security of the pilgrims at the Holy Kaaba, enabling them to perform the Hajj pilgrimage with ease and peace of mind. Non-permit holders, except for those with Hajj visas, will not be allowed to enter or stay in Mecca effective from Tuesday, the 1st of Dhul Qa’dah 1446 AH, on 29th April 2025.

The Ministry has directed all hospitality facilities in Mecca to strictly comply with the regulations and procedures set for this year’s Hajj season, collaborating with relevant authorities to ensure the safety of the guests of Allah. Any violation of these instructions will result in legal penalties as emphasized by the Ministry of Tourism.

In efforts to safeguard the wellbeing and security of the Hajj pilgrims, the Ministry is implementing these measures in conjunction with government entities. It is imperative to adhere to these regulations for a smooth and orderly Hajj season, showcasing a united front in preparing for the pilgrimage in the year 1446 AH.
