Minesweeping Efforts in Yemen Lead to Removal of 543 Landmines by “MASAM” in One Week

The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid Project “Masam” succeeded in clearing Yemeni lands of mines during the first week of April 2025, removing a total of 543 mines in various areas of Yemen. Among these were 6 anti-personnel mines, 23 anti-tank mines, 511 unexploded ordnance, and 3 explosive devices.

The “Masam” team in Aden Governorate managed to remove 511 unexploded ordnance and 3 explosive devices, while in Marib Governorate, the team successfully cleared 6 anti-personnel mines and 23 anti-tank mines.

The total number of mines cleared since the beginning of the “Masam” project has now reached 486,651, after being randomly planted in various Yemeni lands to harvest the lives of innocent civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, and instill fear in the hearts of the people.
