Production commences in 103 factories and 63 new industrial licenses issued in January 2025

According to a report from the National Center for Industrial and Mining Information, which is under the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, the ministry issued 63 new industrial licenses in January 2025 and 103 new factories began production during the same month. The report, which monitors industrial indicators on a monthly basis, revealed that the investments related to the new licenses amounted to 1.197 billion riyals. These projects are expected to create more than 2500 job opportunities across various regions of the Kingdom.
The investments in the factories that started production in January reached 900 million riyals, with an estimated 1504 new job opportunities. This reflects the continuous expansion of the industrial base in the Kingdom and the increasing pace of factories entering actual operation.
On a monthly basis, the ministry releases the most prominent industrial indicators through the National Center for Industrial and Mining Information. These indicators reflect the industrial activity in the Kingdom, including the volume of new investments, the number of licenses issued, and the factories starting production. This is done to enhance transparency and monitor the industrial growth process in the Kingdom.
