Communications and Technology Commission Participates in Global Mobile Communications Conference in Barcelona

Deputy Governor for Organization and Competition Sector, Omar Al Rajraji, headed a delegation from the Communications and Information Technology Commission participating in the Global Mobile Communications Congress organized by the GSM Association from March 3-6, 2025, in Barcelona, Spain.
The aim of the delegation’s participation in the conference is to enhance efforts to accelerate the digital economy of Saudi Arabia, exchange experiences and practices, discuss trends and innovations in the field, keep up with modern technologies, as well as hold bilateral meetings with global companies and international entities to discuss opportunities for cooperation in the field of communications and technology.
The conference also saw the participation of the General Manager of Strategy and Sustainability, Abdulaziz Al Tamrah, in a roundtable discussion as part of the ministerial program titled “Enhancing Digital Inclusion for a Connected Future”.
In a strategic move to enhance the global leadership of Saudi products, the Saudi Exports Development Authority, in collaboration with the Communications and Information Technology Commission, organized the attendance of leading figures from Saudi companies to the Saudi industry pavilion at the conference. This was to highlight their advanced technological solutions in order to showcase the Kingdom’s competitive strength and open up new opportunities for accessing global markets.
The Global Mobile Communications Congress is one of the most important conferences in the communications and technology sector worldwide, with annual attendance of over 80,000 experts from the government and private sectors, representing more than 190 countries around the world. The conference also hosts the heads of regulatory bodies in various countries and CEOs of major companies to discuss challenges and opportunities facing the mobile communications sector, and to learn about the latest technologies in the industry and ways to develop them.
