Prince Faisal bin Bandar Presides Over Ceremony for Al-Kharj Residents, Unveiling Development Projects

Today, a ceremony was held by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh, to celebrate his visit to the Al-Kharj province and inaugurate several development projects. During the event, His Highness expressed his happiness to visit Al-Kharj and meet with the local residents to inspect both current and future development projects. These projects align with the directives of the wise leadership, seeking to enhance the quality of life within the region. The Governor highlighted that these development projects in Al-Kharj serve as a clear demonstration of the leadership’s commitment to promoting collaboration between government entities and the private sector. This effort aims to achieve the targets set by Vision 2030 for the Kingdom and elevate Riyadh and its provinces to desired standards.
The event commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech from Dr. Tariq Bin Amash Al-Hafez on behalf of the residents of Al-Kharj province and its affiliated centers. He welcomed the visit of the Governor, emphasizing the government’s dedication, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, to provide the highest level of services to citizens and residents of the Kingdom.
Dr. Al-Hafez acknowledged the pivotal role of His Highness and continuous support in driving forward development and service projects, improving performance across various sectors, and focusing on meeting the needs of citizens to achieve comprehensive development. Subsequently, Prince Faisal inaugurated municipal projects in Al-Kharj province worth 47 million Saudi Riyals. These projects include upgrading the streets surrounding the central vegetable market, modern lighting projects, enhancing King Abdulaziz Tunnel, installing electric car chargers, and rehabilitating roads near schools, mosques, and parks. Additionally, he inaugurated a branch of the Infrastructure Projects Center in Al-Kharj aimed at enhancing urban infrastructure and organizing infrastructure projects in the province according to global best practices to contribute to the Vision 2030 goals.
Prince Faisal also inaugurated the Ministry of Commerce building in Al-Kharj province situated on King Fahd Road, covering a total area of 2500 square meters and executed at a cost of 11 million Saudi Riyals. The visit concluded with a lunch hosted by His Highness, attended by the Governor of Al-Kharj, the Deputy Governor, officials, and residents of the province.
