Minister of Industry Discusses Shared Opportunities in Industrial and Mining Sectors with Indonesian Officials

The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises in Indonesia, Erick Thohir, to discuss enhancing economic relations between the two countries and exploring investment opportunities in the industrial and mining sectors. The meeting highlighted the strong strategic ties between the two brotherly nations and emphasized the importance of developing cooperation and partnerships between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia in various economic sectors, particularly in industry and mining, to promote economic diversity and support sustainable development.
During the meeting, they reviewed the goals of the National Industry Strategy, the promising investment opportunities it offers, and the services provided by the Kingdom to investors. The two parties also discussed cooperation opportunities in supply chains, logistics services, infrastructure development, and mutual opportunities in the automotive components industry.
Furthermore, the Minister of Industry met with the CEO of the Indonesian Export-Import Bank, Sukatmo Padmosukarso, to discuss enhancing bilateral relations, supporting exporters, and facilitating exports between the two countries. Al-Khorayef witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Export-Import Bank and the Indonesian Export-Import Bank to strengthen cooperation in export and enable exports between the two sides, in the presence of the CEO of the Saudi Export-Import Bank, Saad Al-Khalb, and the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Indonesia, Faisal Al-Ammudi.
These meetings are part of the official visit of the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources to the Republic of Indonesia, aiming to expand the scope of cooperation between the two countries in the industrial and mining sectors, as well as to explore mutual investment opportunities.
