Drug Bust at Jeddah Islamic Port – 147 kg of Cocaine Seized in Marble Shipment, Hidden With Care

The General Directorate for Drug Control thwarted an attempt to smuggle 147 kilograms of the drug methamphetamine, known as “Shabu,” hidden in marble shipment containers at Jeddah Islamic Port. They were able to do so in coordination with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, arresting three recipients – three Pakistani nationals and one Saudi citizen. This operation is part of the Interior Ministry’s efforts to combat drug trafficking and protect the security of the Kingdom and its youth.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information they may have regarding drug smuggling or trafficking activities. They can do so by calling “911” in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or “999” in other regions of the Kingdom. Reports can also be made to the General Directorate for Drug Control via the hotline “995” or by emailing 995@gdnc.gov.sa. All reports will be treated with complete confidentiality.
