Saudi Arabia Implements Special Operations Room for Iranian Pilgrims
In accordance with the directives of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and based on recommendations presented by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has established a dedicated operations room to ensure the comfort and safety of Iranian pilgrims during their stay in the Kingdom. This initiative is specifically aimed at facilitating all necessary services for the approximately 76,000 Iranian pilgrims, enabling their smooth return to Iran once their pilgrimage is concluded.
To guarantee the highest standards of service, the Ministry has conducted a comprehensive review of the accommodations and care provided to the Iranian pilgrims, ensuring that their experience remains both positive and well-managed throughout their time in Saudi Arabia. The commitment to delivering exceptional care is reflected not only in the quality of services offered but also in the proactive measures taken to respond to any needs or issues that may arise.
In addition to monitoring the wellbeing of the pilgrims, the Ministry has collaborated closely with relevant Saudi authorities to create an effective plan for the orderly departure of Iranian pilgrims. This plan aligns with requests from Iranian officials managing pilgrimage affairs, aiming to streamline processes at every phase of their return journey.
The logistics of the plan involve multiple stages. Iranian pilgrims will initially depart from the holy sites in Makkah and Madinah via domestic flights. Their travel is coordinated to transit through King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah, before arriving at Arar Airport. Subsequently, they will make their way to the new Arar land crossing, allowing them to complete their journey by road back to Iran.
Implementation of this comprehensive plan began on Friday, with the Ministry’s teams on the ground providing continuous support and direct service to the Iranian pilgrims until they safely depart from the Kingdom. This initiative underscores Saudi Arabia’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of all pilgrims, ensuring a seamless experience for those who travel from across the globe to fulfill their religious obligations.
The establishment of a special operations room demonstrates the Kingdom’s proactive approach to managing pilgrimage logistics and highlights its dedication to enhancing the experiences of its guests. The services offered encompass not only transportation arrangements but also provisions for health care, accommodations, and any additional needs that may arise during this sacred time.
Moreover, the efforts made reflect Saudi Arabia’s longstanding tradition of hospitality and care for its guests, particularly during the Hajj season, which draws millions of Muslims every year. The Ministry’s focus is firmly set on providing a safe, comfortable, and memorable pilgrimage for all attendees, regardless of their nationality. This approach reflects the Kingdom’s broader vision of fostering peace, cooperation, and understanding among diverse cultures within the context of the global Muslim community.
Overall, the comprehensive measures being put into place for Iranian pilgrims resonate well with the overarching principles of inclusivity and respect that underlie Saudi Arabia’s role as the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. As the implementation process unfolds, continuous assessments will ensure that every aspect of the pilgrimage experience is addressed thoughtfully and effectively. This meticulous attention to detail aims not only to facilitate the immediate needs of the pilgrims but also to contribute positively to the overall image of the Kingdom within the broader international community.
