In a significant event marking the Eid al-Adha celebrations, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, represented King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Supreme Commander of all military forces, during a reception held at the Royal Palace in Mina. On this occasion, he warmly welcomed various dignitaries who came to convey their best wishes for the festival. Among the attendees were the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mr. Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, representatives from the Gulf Cooperation Council, the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom, esteemed scholars, military leaders participating in this year’s Hajj, and members of the local scouting community involved in the pilgrimage.

The event commenced with a recitation of selected verses from the Holy Quran, setting a solemn and celebratory tone for the gathering.

During the ceremony, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman delivered a heartfelt address, expressing gratitude and blessings. He began by invoking the name of Allah and greeting attendees with warmth and respect. He conveyed a message of goodwill to all citizens, residents, and pilgrims celebrating Eid al-Adha, praying for the occasion to bring continued peace and prosperity to the Kingdom and Muslims worldwide.

Highlighting the nation’s unwavering commitment to hosting pilgrims, he acknowledged the ongoing success in serving the guests of Allah, attributing it to the dedicated efforts of the government in managing the holy sites and the surrounding areas. Prince Mohammed assured that the government will persist in its relentless endeavors to provide comfort for pilgrims, recognizing the tireless work of officials across various sectors, alongside volunteers, both male and female, who strive to implement state policies ensuring the safe and serene fulfillment of Hajj rituals. He concluded his remarks by wishing everyone a joyous Eid and invoking blessings for safety and security in the Kingdom.

Subsequently, the Director of Public Security and Chairman of the Hajj Security Committee, Major General Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Basami, addressed the military sectors involved in Hajj. He emphasized the extensive resources and manpower allocated to ensure the safety and comfort of pilgrims. He expressed pride in the crucial role played by more than 213,323 personnel from military and security sectors in effectively executing the leadership’s directives aimed at facilitating the Hajj experience. The members of these teams, drawing from their professional expertise and practical knowledge gained from the Kingdom’s vision, prioritize serving the guests of Allah above all else.

General Al-Basami attributed the string of successes in Hajj security to the unwavering support from King Salman and the Crown Prince, along with the guidance of the Interior Minister and the Higher Hajj Committee. He pointed out that the comprehensive plans established for Hajj operations are based on precise foundations and clearly defined responsibilities, supported by advanced operations centers that utilize cutting-edge technology and monitoring systems. These centers enable real-time decision-making through data analysis and risk assessment, all aimed at ensuring the safety and well-being of pilgrims.

He also acknowledged the vital backing received for Hajj security plans from the Governor of the Makkah Region and his deputy, as well as the Governor of Madinah, which contributed to enhancing the organization and service levels for the pilgrims.

The ceremony included a poetic tribute delivered by Colonel Mishaal bin Muhamas Al-Harathi, celebrating the occasion. Following the addresses, attendees had the honor of greeting the Crown Prince before sharing a meal with him, underpinning the spirit of unity and celebration that marks the Eid festivities.

Among the attendees were several distinguished figures, including royal advisers, regional governors, and high-ranking officials, underscoring the event’s significance and the collective commitment to serving the nation’s religious and cultural heritage.
