Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Hosts the 49th Annual Grand Hajj Symposium
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in collaboration with the Council of Senior Scholars and the King Abdulaziz Foundation, is set to hold the 49th Grand Hajj Symposium themed “Understanding Capability in Hajj and Contemporary Developments” this coming Sunday at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Jeddah. This event aims to shed light on the concept of "capability" as defined in Islamic law and to explore its various jurisprudential dimensions in light of contemporary issues. These discussions are intended to facilitate the performance of Hajj and align with the broader objectives of Islamic law.
The symposium’s agenda comprises several scientific and discussion sessions, with the most notable being the main ministerial session titled “Facilitating the Ritual and Empowering Pilgrims in Accordance with the Kingdom’s Vision for Serving Hajj Visitors.” This session will feature esteemed speakers, including Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, Minister of Health Mr. Fahd Al-Jalajel, Director of Public Security Lieutenant General Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Basami, and Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites Engineer Saleh Al-Rashed. The session will be moderated by Engineer Abu Al-Khair Ismail, the CEO of the Guests of الرحمن program.
