The Maldives awards Minister of Islamic Affairs the Shield of Personal Endorsement for Moderation and Tolerance until 2025

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs in the Republic of Maldives awarded His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Da’wah, and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif Bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, the “Supporter of Moderation, Tolerance, and Interfaith Dialogue Among Nations for the Year 2025” shield. The shield was presented by the Maldives Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, and received on behalf of Sheikh Abdul Latif Al-Sheikh by the Imam and preacher of the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Salah Bin Mohammed Al-Budair, in the presence of the Maldives Minister of Regional Development, Adam Shareef Umar, the Maldivian Minister of Education, Dr. Ismail Shafeeu, and the Grand Imam of the Maldives, Sheikh Mohamed Latheef.

This recognition is a tribute to the efforts made by the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Da’wah, and Guidance in promoting the principles of moderation and tolerance, spreading values of acceptance and coexistence, and enhancing constructive communication among nations. It also acknowledges his support for Islamic cooperation and the initiatives he has introduced to serve the Maldivian people in the fields of religious outreach, education, and social development.
