Social Insurance Protector Meets Leaders of Retirement and Social Insurance Institutions in Singapore

Minister of Social Insurance, Abdulaziz Al-Buq, recently visited Singapore along with a delegation. The purpose of the visit was to exchange expertise and explore international best practices in social insurance and retirement systems. During the visit, meetings were held to enhance partnerships that can contribute to sustainability and efficiency in customer service delivery.

The delegation met with the CEO of the Central Provident Fund Board of Singapore, Melissa Kho, to learn about Singapore’s experience in social insurance. They also discussed opportunities to enhance cooperation between the two countries in improving their retirement systems.

Moreover, Minister Al-Buq met with Ong Ee Hwa, Deputy Secretary-General of Family and Community Affairs at the Ministry of Social and Family Development in Singapore, to discuss ways to enhance social insurance services and coordination mechanisms to provide effective social protection and policies to ensure efficient support for various groups.

This visit is part of the strategic direction of social insurance towards opening up to global experiences and exploring advanced work models to develop the insurance system in the Kingdom in line with the targets of Vision 2030. The delegation learned about the latest technologies and innovations applied in the public sector, customer-focused service models, advanced applications of artificial intelligence and data in the field of insurance protection.
