Commencement of Desert Knowledge-2025 Joint Air Exercise in the UAE

The joint aerial exercise “Desert Flag 2025” has kicked off at the Air Warfare and Air Defense Center at Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates. The exercise involves the Royal Saudi Air Force, Royal Saudi Air Defense, and forces from several sister and friendly countries, and is set to continue for several weeks.
According to Major Pilot Faisal Al Marwani, the commander of the participating air force group, the preparations for the exercise were carried out professionally, following the safety standards approved for military drills. These preparations included holding several planning conferences to ensure the highest levels of combat efficiency and operational readiness.
Major Pilot Faisal Al Marwani explained that the participation of the air force in the exercise with six F-15 jets, along with their aircrew, technical support staff, aims at exchanging military experiences in planning and execution in an environment similar to real war scenarios, as well as enhancing the operational readiness and combat efficiency of the aircrew and supporting technical staff, in addition to strengthening international relations with the participating countries.
The air force group commander added that the exercise, which includes participation from several countries starting with the host country, the UAE, as well as Qatar, Bahrain, Turkey, the United States, France, South Korea, the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth of Australia, India, and Germany, will witness the implementation of various aerial maneuvers, including defensive and offensive aerial operations, close air support operations, and combat search and rescue operations.
