مؤسسة الألغام تبادر بنزع 1,050 لغمًا في اليمن خلال أسبوع

King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action (Masam) successfully cleared 1,050 mines in various regions of Yemen during the third week of April 2025. These included 3 anti-personnel mines, 24 anti-tank mines, 1,020 unexploded ordnance, and 3 improvised explosive devices. In Aden Governorate, the Masam team cleared 914 unexploded ordnance. In Qaatabah directorate in Al-Dhale, they removed one anti-personnel mine and two unexploded ordnance. In Al-Hudaydah Governorate, the team cleared 3 anti-tank mines and 11 unexploded ordnance in Hays directorate, as well as one anti-tank mine and one unexploded ordnance in Khokha directorate. In Al-Wahat directorate in Lahj Governorate, 6 unexploded ordnance were cleared. In Marib Governorate, the team cleared 16 anti-tank mines, while in Bayhan directorate in Shabwah Governorate, they removed two unexploded ordnance. In Taiz Governorate, the team cleared 3 anti-tank mines and 72 unexploded ordnance in Maqbanah directorate, as well as one anti-tank mine and 12 unexploded ordnance in Dhubab directorate, and two unexploded ordnance in Al-Masafir directorate.

This brings the total number of mines cleared in April to 2,548 so far. Since the beginning of the Masam project, a total of 488,656 mines have been cleared, which were indiscriminately planted in Yemeni lands to target innocent civilians, including children, women, and elderly, instilling fear in the hearts of the population.
