Foreign Minister hosts Egyptian counterpart for high-level ministerial meeting to discuss political cooperation and follow-up committee.

Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, welcomed today the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Badr Abdalla Attia, at the ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh. The meeting focused on the strong brotherly relations and mutual cooperation between the two countries, as well as discussing common interests.
Following the meeting, the Foreign Minister chaired a ministerial-level political consultation committee meeting between the two countries. The discussions aimed to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields and strengthen joint coordination on issues of mutual concern. They also addressed regional and international developments, specifically the situation in Gaza.
The meeting was attended by the Ministry’s Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Saud Al-Sati, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Saleh Al-Husseini, and the Director General of the General Department for Arab Countries, Ghazi Al-Anzi. From the Egyptian side, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Kingdom, Ihab Abu Sirai, and the Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs, Ambassador Ihab Fahmy, were present.
