Inauguration of a New Phase of the Volunteer Medical Program at Prince Mohammed bin Salman Hospital in Aden

The voluntary medical program at the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Hospital in Aden Governorate has entered a new phase, focusing on pediatric heart surgery. This program is supported and implemented by the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works and the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen. It involves medical professionals from within Saudi Arabia, operating at the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Hospital, equipped with advanced medical facilities.
The voluntary medical program encompasses various medical projects in specialties such as open-heart surgery, cardiac catheterization, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, urologic surgery, as well as a medical project for specialized clinics. The aim is to reduce the healthcare needs in all Yemeni provinces.
The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen has initiated multiple projects and initiatives to support the healthcare sector in Yemen. These include constructing and equipping hospitals and medical centers, rehabilitating and operating them, as well as enhancing the capabilities of medical professionals. The program has implemented 264 developmental projects and initiatives in eight essential sectors, including education, energy, transportation, water, agriculture and fisheries, developmental programs, and support for government capacities.
