New Shipping Service IMB1 Added to Jeddah Islamic Port to Boost National Imports and Exports

The General Authority of Ports “Ports” has introduced a new shipping service, IMB1, by CSTAR LINE to the Islamic Port of Jeddah. This move is part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen maritime connectivity between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the rest of the world, as well as support national import and export activities. This initiative is part of Ports’ efforts to enhance the smooth flow of trade between Saudi ports and regional and international ports, while also improving operational efficiency to increase competitiveness. This aligns with the goals of the national transportation and logistics strategy to establish the Kingdom as a global logistics hub and a key link between the three continents.
The new shipping service will connect the Islamic Port of Jeddah to ports in Nhava Sheva and Mundra in India, Izmir in Turkey, Novorossiysk in Russia, and Jebel Ali in the United Arab Emirates with a capacity of 2,100 standard containers. It is worth mentioning that the partnerships forged by Ports with major global shipping lines contribute to enhancing the competitive edge of the Islamic Port of Jeddah, expanding its maritime service network, and boosting operational efficiency. This further solidifies its position as a strategic logistics hub on the Red Sea coast.
