Minister of Industry Explores Indonesian Experience in Empowering Research and Innovation in the Industrial and Mining Sectors

Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkharif, visited two research and innovation centers in Indonesia to learn about their experience in promoting research and developing innovations in the industrial and mining sectors. He discussed opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation and exchange experiences between the two countries in scientific research and industrial innovations.

During his visit, the Minister visited the Indonesian Digital Industry Center, PIDI 4.0, and the National Research and Innovation Agency, “BRIN”. The leaders of these centers presented initiatives to enhance digital transformation in industrial facilities, develop smart factories to increase production efficiency in the industrial sector, as well as showcase Indonesia’s success stories in renewable energy, modern technologies, and water solutions.

This visit by the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources to the two centers is part of his official visit to Indonesia, leading a delegation from the industry and mining sector. The aim is to strengthen economic relations between the two countries and explore mutual investment opportunities in the industrial and mining sectors.
