Minister of Industry Seeks to Enhance Industrial Cooperation with Indonesian Counterpart

The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Kharif, met with the Indonesian Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, in Jakarta today to discuss enhancing economic ties, developing industrial cooperation, and exploring mutual investment opportunities.

During the meeting, the Ministers discussed broadening the scope of their cooperation, supporting trade growth between the Kingdom and Indonesia, promoting economic diversity, achieving sustainable development, and reviewing promising opportunities in 12 industrial sectors to be developed and localized as part of the national industry strategy.

Minister Al-Kharif highlighted the Kingdom’s efforts to develop key industrial clusters, emphasizing the potential and incentives offered to investors, as well as the quality opportunities available for Indonesian companies to establish and expand their investments in the Kingdom.

At the end of the meeting, Minister Al-Kharif invited his Indonesian counterpart to attend the 2026 International Mining Conference in Riyadh in January, which will serve as a global platform for leaders in the mining sector to discuss the future of the industry.
