Arrests made for violating environmental regulations at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Wildlife Preserve

Special forces of environmental security have arrested two individuals for violating environmental regulations by cutting fences and entering a protected area without permission in the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve. The necessary legal measures were taken against them, and they were referred to the appropriate authorities.
The forces explained that the penalty for cutting or damaging fences in protected areas can reach up to 100,000 Saudi Riyals. Offenders are also required to remedy the damage and pay compensation. The penalty for entering reserves without permission is a fine of 5,000 Saudi Riyals. They emphasized the importance of reporting any incidents that pose a threat to the environment or natural life by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 996 in other regions of the Kingdom.
