E-passes now available for residents working in Mecca during Hajj season, says Passport Department

The General Directorate of Passports has announced the start of receiving applications electronically for issuing entry permits to the holy capital for resident workers during the Hajj season. This process will be done through the Ministry of Interior’s electronic platform “Absher” and the “Muaqin” portal without the need to visit passport offices. This initiative is in integration with the unified digital platform for issuing Hajj permits called “Tasreem platform.”

Absher platform allows individuals to issue permits for domestic workers, dependents, holders of special residency permits, investors, mothers of citizens, and citizens of Gulf Cooperation Council countries after attaching the required documents. Through the electronic Muaqin portal, entry permits to the holy capital will be issued to workers in establishments based in the holy capital, holders of seasonal work visas, and those with employment contracts with these establishments during the Hajj season.
