Technical Training in Saudi Arabia Takes Major Step Forward with Signing of Agreements with UK Business Ministry and Cisco

The Public Institution for Technical and Vocational Training revealed the signing of two agreements with the British Department for Business and Trade, and the Statistical, Economic, Social, and Training Research Center for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) during the second Human Capability Development Conference in Riyadh. Dr. Adel Al-Zanadi, Deputy Governor for Training at the Public Institution for Technical and Vocational Training, signed a memorandum of understanding with Zahra Zamurd Saljuq, the Director-General of SESRIC, aiming to enhance cooperation in technical and vocational training, develop joint initiatives, and improve institutional and human resource capacities within the framework of the vocational education and training program for OIC member states.

The memorandum includes the exchange of information, research ideas, statistics, publications, best practices, experiences, and technical materials related to relevant subjects. Additionally, the Deputy Governor for Training Policies and Quality at the institution, Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Marwani, signed an executive program with Robert Daniels, the Director of Services and Skills at the British Department for Business and Trade, to encourage hosting joint conferences, seminars, workshops, and exhibitions, exchange policies and experiences, collaborate in developing and implementing technical and vocational training policies, improve the quality of training for both parties, and establish a government council to oversee and monitor the implementation of cooperation areas according to the program.
