Border Guard Patrols in Jazan and Asir foil attempt to smuggle 948 kilograms of illegal narcotic qat plants

Border patrols in the Dair Sector of Jazan region foiled an attempt to smuggle 108 kilograms of the drug qat. The confiscated items were handed over to the relevant authorities after completing the necessary legal procedures. Additionally, four Ethiopian nationals were apprehended for attempting to smuggle 720 kilograms of qat, with the authorities taking the appropriate legal actions against them. In another operation in the Raboua Sector of Asir region, eight Ethiopian nationals were caught trying to smuggle 120 kilograms of qat, and similar legal procedures were followed in this case as well.
