Over 18,000 violators arrested across Saudi Arabia in one week

Joint field campaigns to monitor and control violators of residency, work, and border security regulations in all regions of the Kingdom during the period from 03/04/2025 to 09/04/2025 resulted in the apprehension of 18,669 violators.
In detail, the campaign results included the following:
Firstly, a total of 18,669 violators were apprehended in all regions of the Kingdom. Among them, 11,813 were violators of the residency system, 4,366 violated border security regulations, and 2,490 violated work regulations.
Secondly, a total of 1,497 individuals were apprehended attempting to cross the borders into the Kingdom, with 27% being Yemeni nationals, 69% Ethiopian nationals, and 4% other nationalities. Additionally, 59 individuals were caught attempting to cross the borders out of the Kingdom illegally.
Thirdly, 17 individuals involved in transporting, sheltering, and employing violators of residency, work, and border security regulations were apprehended.
Fourthly, a total of 33,166 violators, including 30,860 men and 2,306 women, are currently undergoing regulatory enforcement procedures.
Fifthly, 25,754 violators were referred to their diplomatic missions to obtain travel documents, 2,279 were referred to complete their travel reservations, and 8,126 were deported.
The Ministry of Interior emphasized that anyone facilitating the entry of border security violators into the Kingdom, transporting them within, providing shelter, or offering any form of assistance, may face penalties including imprisonment for up to 15 years, a fine of up to one million riyals, confiscation of transport and accommodation used for sheltering, as well as public defamation. The Ministry clarified that this crime is considered a major offense warranting detention, compromising honor and trust, and urged reporting any violations to the hotline numbers 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and 999 and 996 in other regions of the Kingdom.
