King Khalid International Airport Ranks 24th in Skytrax’ 2025 List of 580 Airports Worldwide

Riyadh Airports Company, responsible for managing and operating King Khalid International Airport, announced their achievement of 24th place in the Skytrax survey among 580 airports worldwide for the year 2025. This was considered a remarkable improvement from last year, advancing by 11 spots. The announcement was made during the Passenger Terminal Expo held in Madrid from April 8-10. Additionally, Riyadh’s airport received the award for the best airport staff in the Middle East this year, along with third place for the best new lounge globally, and fourth place for the best airport in the world (30-40 million passengers category).

In response to this accomplishment, Riyadh Airports Company’s CEO, Ayman bin Abdulaziz Abuaba, expressed that achieving this rank was a significant milestone for the year. It serves as a testament to the satisfaction of passengers and beneficiaries who experienced their services during hundreds of arrivals and departures. This evaluation, with gratitude to Allah, highlights the efforts in development and improvement made with airport partners, ensuring leading positions that support the national aviation strategy in line with Saudi Vision 2030 goals.

Abuaba highlighted the substantial support and meticulous attention provided by the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services and the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, who continuously monitor development projects. Their focus has contributed to enhancing operational, security, and logistical services efficiency, along with the technologies used to meet national requirements and international standards in the sector.

He further emphasized that this achievement enhances the position of Riyadh Airport, motivating continuous developmental efforts around the clock to strive for better global rankings. The goal is to achieve strategic objectives, especially with expectations of increasing international travelers through King Khalid International Airport in the coming years.
